Sesto - The jewel of the Dolomites

Sesto,
situated in the most eastern valley of South Tyrol, is
well-known for its picturesque alpine world characterized by
traditional mountain farms and shady forests as well as for
its incomparable, breathtaking nature.
The Three Pinnacles (Tre Cime), the symbol of the Sesto
Dolomites, are considered to be the Trinity of the
Dolomites. There are numerous legends associated
with this place .
The inhabitants of Sesto have always been proud of their
wonderful nature and beautiful surroundings. A large part of
this territory has been formally protected with the creation
of a Nature Park turning Sesto into one of the most
beautiful holiday paradises of the Dolomites.
Especially winter sport aficionados will find a real
eldorado in this area, as the modern skiing resorts are
well-known for their perfect slope conditions.
Sesto
has much to offer the sport enthusiast also during the
summer months: hiking and climbing tours of various degrees
of difficulty but also romantic horse-drawn carriage rides.
The Rudolf-Stolz Museum is one of the major sights to visit.
It contains fresco sketches of the most famous contemporary
artist of the Tyrolean area.
